Feedback & Import

How Feedback Is Collected

Once you install the FeedSense widget on your website, users can submit feedback directly from your site:

  1. User clicks the feedback tab on the right side of the page
  2. A form appears where they rate their experience (1–5 stars) and leave a comment
  3. They can optionally provide their email
  4. After submission, the feedback appears in your dashboard within seconds

Every submission is automatically processed by AI to detect sentiment, emotions, categories, and keywords.

Viewing Feedback

The Feedback page shows a paginated list of all feedback with:

  • Star Rating — 1 to 5 stars
  • Comment — the user's feedback text
  • Sentiment — positive, neutral, or negative (AI-detected)
  • Category — AI-assigned category (general, feature, bug, UI/UX, performance, etc.)
  • Date — when the feedback was submitted
  • User Email — if the user provided one

Feedback Detail Page

Click on any feedback item to see its full detail page, which includes:

  • Full comment with star rating
  • AI Analysis — sentiment, emotion, category, and impact level with confidence scores
  • Keywords — key topics extracted from the feedback
  • Trigger Tags — AI-detected triggers (e.g., bug report, feature request)
  • Emotion Breakdown — detailed scores for joy, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, and disgust
  • Device Information — browser, operating system, screen resolution, and language
  • Processing Timeline — when it was submitted, processed by AI, and its current status
  • Source URL — which page the user was on when they submitted

Filtering Feedback

Use filters to narrow down your feedback list:

FilterOptions
SearchFull-text search on feedback content

Active filters display as removable pills above the feedback list so you can quickly adjust your view.

Feedback Actions

For each feedback item, you can:

  • Mark as Resolved — toggle whether the feedback has been addressed
  • Update Category — change the AI-assigned category
  • Delete — permanently remove the feedback item

CSV Import

Already have feedback data? Import it from a CSV file.

Import Steps

  1. Upload — drag and drop or browse for a CSV file. FeedSense checks for duplicate files automatically.
  2. Column Mapping — select which CSV columns map to rating and comment fields. A preview of sample rows is shown.
  3. Rating Scale Detection — FeedSense auto-detects the rating format (e.g., 1–5, 0–100) and shows a preview of normalized ratings.
  4. Processing — the import runs in the background. You'll see a success message when complete.

Import History

View past imports from the Import History page:

  • Filename, status (completed, processing, or failed)
  • Total rows, successful imports, and error count
  • Which project was targeted and when it was uploaded

Best Practices

  • Review regularly — check new feedback daily or weekly
  • Use filters — focus on negative sentiment or specific categories to find issues fast
  • Mark resolved — keep track of which feedback you've acted on
  • Import existing data — if you have feedback from other tools, import via CSV to centralize
